This is a great recipe by Maria Emmerich! There is a link to her website at the bottom. This recipe is a great way to stay low carb/keto and have bread, toast, croutons, etc… on occasion and the recipe can be varied for many different things. It is gluten free. It does not have the exact texture of bread, but it will do, and I like to make it occasionally. It makes 12 servings and her recipe and ingredients make up 9g of protein, 0 fat, 0.5 carbs, 0 fiber, and is 44 calories a slice.

TIPS & SHORTCUTS

Here are a few things to note about this recipe. The ingredients can be ordered online. I used these pictured that I found on Amazon. I prefer the texture of this recipe with dried WHOLE Egg Powder added. I would suggest ordering it with everything else. I also prefer the flavor of Allulose to any other and it also doesn’t cause tummy upset that some other sugar free sweeteners do.


Note: If you choose to use whole egg powder, make sure your egg whites are fully whipped before adding. If you add them at the beginning, the egg whites don’t whip. This mistake ended up as ice cream for us. LOL
